Practical. Pleasant. Better.

Practical. Pleasant. Better.

CellarEye was founded by tech entrepreneurs and serious wine collectors who kept running into the same wall: the never-ending, resource-draining work of managing wine inventory. So we set out to solve a centuries-old problem with a modern solution.

Clipboards, spreadsheets, and hand-kept logs. For twenty years, that was the state of the art in wine inventory management, whether the wine sat in a home cellar or a restaurant program. Those methods might keep a collection organized, but they ignore the real cost, which is time. Traditional systems demand constant auditing and forgive almost nothing; miss a few entries, and the whole record falls apart. Auditing a 1,000-bottle cellar can consume 25 person-hours, or thousands of dollars if you hand the tedium to someone else. And even the most carefully kept cellars still suffer lost bottles, missed drinking windows, and valuations that drift from reality.

We love that wine is steeped in history and tradition. We simply believe tradition belongs in the glass, not in the logistics. By bringing modern technology and intelligent workflows to wine management, CellarEye gives back the hours the clipboard used to take. For the collector, that means more time for what drew you to wine in the first place: collecting, sharing, and drinking it. For the sommelier and the wine professional, it means running a sharper program in a fraction of the time, and putting expert guidance in front of every guest.

As collectors and wine industry professionals ourselves, we built CellarEye around a single conviction: the work of managing wine should never get in the way of enjoying it, or of making a living from it. Our mission is to empower enthusiasts and professionals alike to steward their collections and elevate the experience of wine discovery, with the friction taken out.
